Skatepark Meeting Article delayed.

I know some of you were expecting a write up of the Tobey Field Skatepark meeting that was held last night but  i just can't squeeze out the time right now. It should go up tonight though so please check back.

In the meantime, go ahead and take the survey over a the city's website. On the front page of CityofMemphis.org, you should see a little blue box that reads "Memphis R U ready to skate?". Click on that and it will take you to the skatepark survey. We need as many people to complete this survey as possible so spread the word.

Look for a full article later tonight.

Here are a few links to hold you over till I get some actual stuff up here

First there's Skatelife Memphis : This is the spot for getting good things done for skateboarding in Memphis. Aaron has been working super hard for us and results are coming in. Head over there to see what you can do to give back to the community.

Skate shop sites are getting thin these days with the closing of Cordova Board Shop and Desoto Skate but you can still catch up with them on Facebook. Drop by and show them some love.

Cheapskates is still going strong and though they don't have a webpage proper, they do have a Myspace and a Facebook page. While your on the FB, go ahead and like this page too.

Fellow Memphis skate bloggers, trife street, are living the life they preach. Check out their page for a bunch of M-Town skate footy.

There are a bunch of others to check out too like Advent Session, FaithskateCooper Skateboards, and Toast.

Check them out them come right back here soon for more posts

Brand new and over due!

Welcome to my Blog! Isn't that what we all say when we start these things? Well it's none the worse for wear so I'll use it.

I already hear it. "Geez, another person who thinks that the the world wants to know what they think." Well my blog isn't about me, it's about the Memphis skate scene past, present and future. From Perkins Ditch to the T.J. Max gap, Jetway to Tobey field(or whatever they end up calling the new park) and from Cheapskates to Cordova Board Shop (you will be missed) I will strive to leave no stone unturned when it comes to Memphis skateboarding.

There will be articles, pics and, hopefully before too long, video on/of  the skaters, spots, parks and shops that have made and continue to make the skateboard scene in Memphis what it is.

Check back soon for actual content.
